Born in Austin, Texas and raised in India, Kabir’s love for cocktails and hospitality began when he moved back to America ( Miami Florida ) in 2013 seeking for better opportunities. He found himself a job at The Setai a luxury hotel located in South beach Miami. Working there as a bar assistant at the hotel lobby bar he met his mentor Philip Khanderish ( Top 10 bartender/mixologist in Miami) who was then the bar manager. After several months of hard work and learning he finally got the opportunity to work as a bartender at the service bar for the restaurant. He later moved on to working at other luxury hotels and restaurants like Zuma Miami, East hotel and The Lowes hotel in south beach where he worked with Robert Fererra who was honoured 2015 one of America’s best bartenders. Working with him at Lure fish bar and The Rum Line ( a award winning tiki cocktail bar) Kabir learnt more about Rum, Tiki cocktails and how to be a great bar host. Besides working behind the stick, Kabir loves taking part in cocktail competitions and travelling. He hopes to open his own bar or restaurant someday where he can offer Indian street food paired with refreshing cocktails with Indian flavours.
