Kenichi Kikuchi
Pastry ChefBorn on December 16, 1978, in Kanagawa, he began his career working at ARPAJON pastry shop in Japan, and at VOILA. He pursued his pastry career spending 5 years at the Park Hyatt Hotel. Dedicating all his energy to pastry-making, he entered several contests and broadened his experience in Singapore and France. After completing a course at Grand HYATT in Singapore, he focused his skills on entremets and plated desserts with Jean-François Foucher at PARK HYATT PARIS Vendôme. In 2008, he won the Arpajon Gastronomy Contest. In January 2009, he returned to Japan and worked as a Pastry Chef in Jiyugaoka (Tokyo) until March 2012. At the same time, he started working as a professor at a pastry school, and as a consultant. In April 2012, just before opening his own shop, he went again to France where he learnt an outstanding know-how from the famous Pastry Chef Sébastien Gaudard in Paris. In 2013, he opened “Les années folles” in Shibuya.
